Fabregas Broken Leg Injury Fear

Arsenal Captain Cesc Fabregas fears that he may have broken his leg in the foul which led to The Gunners' unlikely equalising penalty against Barcelona last night. Fabregas, who had already received a caution which ruled him out of the return leg in Camp Nou, was scythed down by Barcelona skipper Carles Puyol in the dying minutes of a match which was entirely dominated by the visitors.

It is unlikely that any who watched the game have ever seen a more one sided 2-2 draw, and when Barcelona took a 2-0 lead courtesy of a Zlatan Ibrahimovic brace the only argument was about how many more it should and could have been. But the game did end 2-2 and Arsenal remain in the tie, although they may now need to score at least twice, probably thrice, in Barcelona next Tuesday.

They will have to do so without the services of both William Gallas and Andrei Arshavin who both face extended periods on the sidelines after injuries picked up in the draw. However, there is a slither of good news for Arsenal fans as it looks like Robin van Persie will return to first team action before the end of the season.

Arsenal are 9/2 with Bet365 (Go to Bet365 ») to qualify for the semi-final and 6/1 with Victor Chandler (Go to VCBet ») to win in the Nou Camp.
