Twiston-Davies Looking To Win A Third Grand National
Nigel Twiston-Davies is bidding to train his third Grand National winner at this year's Aintree festival and he could have as many as six runners to his name when the field line-up under starters orders on Saturday week. Twiston-Davies has already trained Earth Summit to glory in 1998 and Bindaree in 2002 and another winner would put him just one behind legendary trainers Ginger McCain and Fred Rimell.
Irish Raptor looks to be the trainer's best chance of making it a trio of National winners and is available to back at 40/1 with Totesport (Go to Totesport »). Beat The Boys, Ballyfitz and Ollie Magern complete the quartet of confirmed runners then Hello Bud and Knowhere are waiting in the wings to take the places of any inevitable withdrawals.
Skybet (Go to Skybet ») are offering betting on the winning trainer and have Twiston-Davies chalked up as a 12/1 chance. They also have a £10 Skybet Free Bet promotion running at present for new customers only, which could be well worth taking advantage of in the lead up to the Grand National.
