St Johnstone v Dundee United SPL Betting Preview
Dundee United can move eight points clear of fourth placed Hibernian and to within five points of second placed Celtic with a win at McDiarmid Park tonight. But St Johnstone have an agenda of their own and would move into the top six, on goal difference, if they can take maximum points from the fixture.
United are unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions including a quarter-final Scottish Cup victory over Rangers, a win here would all but guarantee a Europa League spot for next season and whisper it quietly but they are ready to pounce should Celtic suffer another dip in form. St Johnstone also beat Rangers recently and in doing so raised a few eyebrows in Scotland with a 4-1 thumping of the champions elect. This will be no straight forward affair for The Terrors.
Paddy Power (Go to Paddy Power ») acknowledge that this could be a tight game by going 7/4 on a home win and 7/5 on an away win. The draw at 12/5 with Betfred (Go to Betfred ») might be the best way to play this one. Dundee United are 1/6 with Boyle Sports (Go to Boyle Sports ») in the league betting without Celtic and Rangers, all three points here would put almost any remaining doubt to bed.
