CSKA Moscow v Inter Milan Champions League Betting Preview

Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan side will take a slender lead to Moscow for Tuesday’s early Champions League kick-off, something Inter have become adept at defending under their Portuguese manager. It was a one goal lead which they defended successfully in west London a few weeks ago at Stamford Bridge to secure their quarter-final birth and the same must be done here to ensure progression to the semis.

Mourinho is sweating over the fitness of key midfielder Wesley Sneijder after he limped out of a training session on Monday afternoon. If he is declared unfit then they will need to look elsewhere for their creative spark as most of their attacking opportunities tend to come through the Dutchman.

Although CSKA Moscow couldn’t get on the scoreboard at the San Siro last week they remain very much in the tie and have everything to play for. Any win by more than one goal would see them progress but a draw or Inter win would see the Italians progress to the semi-finals.

Ladbrokes (Go to Ladbrokes ») offer odds of 5/4 on an Inter Milan win whilst Stan James (Go to Stan James ») go 11/5 on the win that CSKA need to progress. Inter are now the second favourites in the Champions League outright betting and are a 10/3 shot with Skybet (Go to Skybet »).
