World Cup Quarter-Final Betting
The World Cup quarter-finals are upon us and we are now down to the real nitty-gritty of the world’s premier sporting competition. Seven of the first round group winners make up the final eight – USA being the only group winner to be eliminated – meaning we are truly down to the best teams in world football. But who will emerge victorious?
The first of the mouth-watering quarter-final ties is between Brazil and Holland with many football fans expecting a classic collision of ‘Total Football’ and ‘Samba Football’. Yet the pragmatic way in which both sides have approached this tournament so far could in reality produce quite the opposite.
The Holland v Brazil quarter-final betting has the South American’s as the Even money favourites at Stan James
whilst Holland can be backed at a tempting 7/2 with Ladbrokes.
This evening’s quarter-final tie is between Uruguay and Ghana with the Ghanaians bidding to become the first African side in history to make it to the semi-finals of a World Cup. In order to achieve that feat they must find a way of breaking down a resolute Uruguayan defence that has only conceded once throughout the tournament, whilst also containing an emphatic strike force of Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez.
Uruguay are 11/10 with Boyle Sports to win the match and Ghana 3/1.
