Premier League Transfer Rumours 02 July

With Andy Murray dominating the sports pages of the country’s newspapers today there hasn't been much room for speculation and transfer rumours. However, there are still a few doing the rounds;

Arsenal;
Jose Mourinho is set to test Arsene Wenger’s resolve by making an outlandish bid to take Robin van Persie to Real Madrid according to reports this morning. Whilst the north London club are said to be monitoring Monaco goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier’s situation after the player sated his intentions to leave the club.

Tottenham;

Spurs will be keen to add some world class players to their squad this summer ahead of their Champions League adventures. One player who certainly fits that bill is Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Harry Redknapp is reportedly lining up a £25million bid for the Swedish striker who is likely to leave Barcelona.

West Ham;
Owners David Sullivan and David Gold are keen to bring in a marquee signing this summer in order to massage their egos. They have already had a bid of £12million for Brazilian youngster Neymar turned down but are today reported to be set to make an improved offer.

Stoke City;

The Potters are reported to have stated their interest in signing Cardiff youngster Joe Ledley. The midfielder has been much sought after in recent years and it is thought that The Bluebirds will be looking to cash in on the payer after failing to win promotion to the Premier League last term.
