Next Brazil Manager Betting

Following Brazil’s World Cup quarter-final exit coach Dunga has been dismissed as the chief of ‘Samba Football’. The 1994 World Cup winning captain had led his side to Copa America glory and topped the South American World Cup qualifying group but was continuously baited on home soil for his defensive approach to games.

Now the search for his successor is underway and it is another player of the class of ’94 who is being tipped to succeed Dunga. Former AC Milan manage Leonardo is the betting favourite to take over from his former teammate with William Hill offering odds of 2/1 that he is the next man installed as Brazil manager.

The second favourite is also a man who knows all about winning World Cups. Luiz Felipe Scolari guided Brazil to victory in the 2002 World Cup in South Korea/Japan then oversaw a successful period of football as Portugal manager but has since struggled at club level including a brief stint at Chelsea. He is William Hill’s 9/4 second favourite to be the next Brazil manager.

Third favourite in the betting is Mano Menezes, a man who many outside of Brazil will know little about. Menezes has enjoyed successful spells with two of Brazilian football’s biggest clubs, Gremio and Corinthians, and as a result is a very well respected manager in his homeland. Menezes can be backed at odds of 7/2 to take over.
