Liverpool;
Starting with the Spaniard who isn’t very good now that he has cut his hair – he should have spoken to Emmanuel Adebayor who could have informed him of the dangers of trimming ones locks.

Roman Abramovich is reported to be flying out to South Africa in an attempt to sign the striker for Chelsea. Presumably he will waltz straight into the Spain dressing room ahead of their menial World Cup semi-final and open negotiations with the player.

Meanwhile, new manager Roy Hodgson is rumoured to be lining up an offer to lure out-of-contract midfielder Joe Cole to Anfield. Now, this one we can believe, but whether Cole would opt for Liverpool when Champions League football presents itself elsewhere is a different matter.

Manchester United;
Both The Daily Mirror and The Sun are running stories on Wesley Sneijder being the subject of a £25million (or £35million depending on which paper you believe, we suggest neither) bid from Manchester United. Their ‘stories’ are backed up by nothing other than supposition and the fact that Sneijder might opt for a move away from Inter where he has now won it all.


Arsenal;
The Cesc Fabregas transfer saga rumbles on with new Barcelona President Sandro Rossel insisting that his club will not pay the £60million being touted for the midfielder, yet the Daily Star (it must be true) are reporting that Barca manager Pep Guardiola has had secret meetings with Fabregas in South Africa.
