Celtic and Liverpool Learn European Fate
Celtic FC and Liverpool FC have been handed contrasting draws in this season’s Europa and Champions League qualifying stages.
Celtic face a tough Champions League qualifying match against Portuguese runners-up Braga with the first leg to be played in Portugal at the end of this month and the return leg a week later.
Liverpool on the other hand will be fairly confident of progressing to the next round of the Europa League as they are set to face either Rabotnicki of Macedonia or Armenian outfit Mika. The first leg will be played at Anfield on 29 July and will be Roy Hodgson’s first competitive game in charge.
Liverpool are 12/1 with Coral to win the Europa league and Celtic are 300/1 with Stan James to win the Champions League. A ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ double would pay at a massive 3,900/1.
