David Cameron Stateside Visit Betting

David Cameron will meet with President Barack Obama this week for the first time since becoming Prime Minister of Great Britain. Cameron will be expecting to be treated with a little more respect than his predecessor Gordon Brown who was denied an official dinner or Rose Garden press conference, and will also be hoping for a slightly better gift than the DVD collection which was handed to Brown.

The subject of gift giving is something which bookmaker Paddy Power have decided to offer a book on. Upon his first visit to the White House Gordon Brown gave President Obama a pen holder fashioned from the timber of HMS Gannet, a ship that served on anti-slavery missions off Africa, only to receive the derogatory collection of DVD’s in return.

But what will Cameron bestow upon the ‘leader of the Free World’?

Well, in these tense times they make alcohol the 6/4 favourite or a picture 3/1, another pen holder is 8/1 and a DVD collection (presumably the unwanted house warming gift that Brown gave to Cameron) is 10/1.

If you think Cameron might try and break the ice with a little humour then it is 100/1 that he gives him a gift share in BP, or 10,000/1 that he presents the President with Tony Hayward’s head on a plate.
