Premier League Transfer Rumours 20 July

We like to give the papers a bit of a hard time when it comes to inventing Premier League transfer rumours, but sometimes they face a difficult task when dealing with agents that live in Neverland....

Chelsea;
Didier Drogba is in talks with Manchester City... oh wait, no he isn’t. Drogba’s agent had hinted in a radio interview that the player could leave Stamford Bridge this summer and that talks with City were already underway. A Manchester City spokesman has this morning rubbished the reports claiming “There has been absolutely no contact.”

That’s that sorted then.

Arsenal;
Cesc: I want to go to Barcelona.
Barcelona:  We want Mr Fabregas.
Arsenal: Cesc is ours, you’re not having him.

It has been going on for weeks now with each party making their thoughts on the matter very clear. Will Fabregas go to Barcelona? In all honesty, we don’t have a clue.

Fulham;
The Daily Mail report that “Fulham manager elect Martin Jol” is keen on bringing in Spurs striker Robbie Keane. What’s that? Keane is for sale you say? And Jol used to manage him at White Hart Lane? Ah, well in that case it must be true.... What do you mean Jol is staying at Ajax? Bugger it, this is too confusing.
Maybe the Daily Mail should wait until a manager is actually appointed before inventing transfer rumours for his new club.

West Ham;
The Hammers could face competition from Liverpool in their pursuit of Nice striker Loic Remy, according to The Sun. Or, they could opt for Argentine striker Milton Caraglio instead.
