Next Fulham Manager Betting Odds

Martin Jol has this morning confirmed that he will stay at Ajax and thus will not become the next Fulham manager. Chairman Mohamed Al Fayed looked to have pulled off a real coup by persuading the former Tottenham manager to takeover at Craven Cottage, but this morning’s news means that his search will now continue.

Dave Jones
is now the latest man to be installed as the next Fulham manager betting favourite, Victor Chandler offer odds of 11/4 on the Cardiff manager taking over from Roy Hodgson. Jones has Premier League experience from his times at Southampton and Wolves, and narrowly missed out on a return to the top flight with Cardiff last season. His appointment would be a low-key one, but perhaps also a wise one.

If it isn’t to be Jones then your guess is as good as mine. The bookmakers don’t seem to have any inclination either with Sven Goran Eriksson, Bob Bradley, Mark Hughes, Alan Curbishley and Gianfranco Zola all hovering around the 10/1 mark.

If you are looking for a speculative punt, and by speculative I mean speculative, then Stuart Pearce at 66/1 with Skybet could be a shout. Although he has a cushy job within the England set-up at present, it may be a good time to jump ship, and if Fulham came a knocking I doubt that he would turn down the opportunity to become his own boss at a Premier League club.
