Premier League Transfer Rumours 23 July

A rather quiet day in the world of Premier League transfer rumours....

Manchester City;
Italian Sky Sports is today reporting that Inter Milan have confirmed that there is ongoing communications between them and City regarding striker Mario Balotelli, although they have yet to make a decision regarding the youngster’s future.

It is also being reported by The Guardian that the club will make a final bid of £24million for James Milner, and are ready to walk away from the deal if that offer is declined.

Liverpool;
The Daily Mail reports that Javier Mascherano is ready to hand in a transfer request in the hope of speeding up his proposed move to Inter Milan.

West Ham;
The Hammers are reported to have lowered their asking price for striker Carlton Cole. And have also taken Algerian goalkeeper Rais M’Bholi on trial whist at their pre-season training camp in Germany.

Arsenal;
After being unable to find any suitors around the rest of the British Isles it now looks as though Sol Campbell will opt to stay on at Arsenal for a further year.
