German Grand Prix Betting

Fernando Alonso recorded the fastest lap in the second practice session at Hockenheim for this weekend’s German Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel second fastest and Felipe Massa third.

The leader of the drivers’ championship Lewis Hamilton crashed out in the first practice session leaving him with just 12 minutes of track time in the second session. He still managed an amicable time which was seventh fastest of the day, his McLaren teammate Jenson Button was way back in 15th.

Red Bull duo Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber head the German Grand Prix Betting at odds of 2/1 and 3/1 respectively with Boyle Sports. Hamilton, who has finished in the top two of the last four Grand Prix’s is an 11/2 chance with the same bookmaker.

Qualifying gets underway at 1210 on Saturday and McLaren will be looking to improve on their poor qualifying stats so far this season. Although the times posted from the practice sessions suggest that may be a tall order.

Boyle Sports make Vettel the 8/5 favourite to post the fastest time in qualifying and claim pole position on the grid, teammate Webber is 21/10.
