England Name Test Squad for Pakistan Series

England named their squad for the four match test series against Pakistan yesterday, with Ravi Bopara a notable absentee. Bopara has been in scintillating form for Essex recently, scoring two centuries in his last county match. However, the selectors have opted to stick with the exciting Eoin Morgan instead.

Ian Bell also misses out after picking up an injury in the one-day series against Bangladesh and Ajmal Shahzad is preferred to Tim Bresnan. Graeme Swan, Steven Finn and Kevin Pietersen all also return having recently been rested.

Pakistan showed against Australia last week just how potent their bowling attack can be and an extremely intriguing, and no doubt exciting, test match series lies ahead.

England are the 4/7 favourites with Boyle Sports to win the series with Pakistan available to back at 11/4 and the drawn series at 9/2.
