Champions League and Europa League Draw

Tottenham have drawn Swiss side Young Boys in the play-off round of the Champions League, the winner of the tie will then go into the Champions League proper and the lucrative group stages. William Hill make Spurs the 1/6 favourites to qualify for the next round, and in all honesty the north London club couldn’t have hoped for a much better draw.

No fewer than seven British teams were involved in the Europa League play-off draw. Liverpool have drawn Turkish side Trabzonspor and will play the first leg at home, Manchester City play Romanian side FC Timisoara and Aston Villa have drawn Rapid Vienna.

Celtic
will play FC Utrecht after they entered the competition following defeat in their Champions League qualifier against Braga, Dundee United’s reward for finishing third in last season’s SPL is a trip to Athens and Motherwell face Odense BK of Denmark.

Manchester City and their wealth of world class talent are William Hill’s 13/2 favourites to win the Europa League and Liverpool are the 8/1 second favourites.
