US PGA Championship Betting Odds
The betting odds on Tiger Woods winning the US PGA Championship at Whistling Straits this week appear to be growing by the minute. You can now back the 14-time major championship winner at odds of 18.0 (17/1) on Betfair after his dismal performance at the Bridgestone Invitational last week.
Phil Mickelson is the current betting favourite at odds of 16.0 (15/1) on Betfair, but he will also have his detractors after news emerged today that he is battling with a form of arthritis which leaves him feeling only 90% fit. Can punters really back a man who isn’t playing to his maximum potential?
The Whistling Straits course has been built to emulate some of the famous links courses on the Scottish and Irish coasts, and although it will only ever be a replicate those who have grown up on links courses will have some advantage. Padraig Harrington and Rory McIlroy are two who fit that category and they come in at odds of 22.0 and 20.0 respectively.
Bigger prices on Graeme McDowell (65.0) and Darren Clarke (210.00) are also certainly worth a few quid. And the man who won the US PGA Championship on the only other occasion that it was played at Whistling Straits, Vijay Singh, can also be backed at 200.0.
