Next Aston Villa Manager Betting

As was previously suggested by Free Betting Online Kevin MacDonald is now the betting favourite to become the next permanent Aston Villa manager. Not that we like to blow our own trumpet or anything.

A combination of an impressive opening day result against West Ham and the lack of any other realistic contenders has seen the caretaker manager become the 6/4 favourite with William Hill. If Villa can get a positive result in Europe this week and then put in another good performance against Newcastle at the weekend then the job might just be his.

Sven Goran Eriksson remains the second favourite at 7/2 followed by Bob Bradley and Martin Jol at around the 5/1 mark. Ronald Koeman has today expressed his interests in the job and can be backed at 9/1 with BlueSquare.

Unfortunately, for everyone except Aston Villa supporters, it doesn’t appear that Randy Lerner will entertain the advances of the Diego Maradona camp. The sight of the world’s greatest ever player jumping up and down on a Premier league touchline would certainly be a site to behold. However, the former Argentina manager can be backed at an unlikely 50/1 with Bet365.
