Celtic Sign Emilio Izaguirre

Glasgow Celtic have completed the signing of Honduran full-back Emilio Izaguirre from Monatgua. The defender’s arrival follows hot on the heels of the signing of AEK Athens defender Daniel Majstorovic and is the club’s ninth summer signing.

The Honduran featured in the World Cup in South Africa this summer playing against both Chile and Spain in his side’s group stage defeats. Celtic manager Neil Lennon had this to say about the player "He's a good player. He's strong defensively, he's quick, he's got a very good left foot and he's good going forward.”

Lennon has set about strengthening his squad following last season’s disappointing campaign and their exit from the Champions League in the early qualifying stages of this season.
