Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix Betting
Lewis Hamilton got back to winning ways in Belgium a fortnight ago and in doing so now tops the Formula One drivers’ championship. Comparatively Jenson Button’s retirement from the race after 15 laps has left him some 35 points off the pace and with it all to do if he is to retain his title.
The double whammy for Hamilton in Belgium was the failure of title rival Sebastian Vettel, however, Mark Webber’s second place finish keeps him in contention.
Webber and Hamilton are now separated by just three points in the drivers’ championship and the bookmakers can’t separate them at all. Sportingbet go 7/4 about each driver.
As for this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix it is the Brit who the bookmakers are favouring. He is a very short 11/10 to be the race winner whilst Webber is a much bigger 11/2. Vettel is second favourite at odds of 9/2 and Fernando Alonso is 3/1.
Qualifying takes place 1000-1100 on Saturday morning and Hamilton is again the 5/4 favourite to record the fastest time and take pole position, Vettel is 9/2 and Button 11/2 in the same market.
