Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix Betting
Fernando Alonso continues to edge his way into this year’s Formula 1 title race as the Ferrari looks to be coming good at just the right time of the season. But with five races to go and just 24 points separating five drivers it really is all to play for in the race to be crowned World Champion.
Singapore hosts the Grand Prix this weekend with Sebastian Vettel chalked up as the bookmaker’s favourite, despite having failed to finish a race in front since June 27 at the European Grand Prix in Valencia.
Fernando Alonso is a 4/1 chance with Stan James to make it two wins in a row and maximum points from three of the last five races. Mark Webber is second favourite at odds of 11/4, Lewis Hamilton is a 7/2 chance and Jenson Button can be backed at a massive 11/1 to go one better than his second place finish in Italy last week.
Webber remains the clear favourite in the drivers’ championship betting at 15/8, Hamilton – currently five points behind in the standings – is a 12/5 chance and Vettel can be backed at 10/3. Alonso, having previously been backed at odds as big as 20/1, is now a 7/2 chance for the title.
