Next Liverpool Manager Betting

With pressure increasing on Roy Hodgson with every poor result that his Liverpool players produce there is increasing interest in the next Liverpool manager betting markets.

A man who was heavily linked with the job before Hodgson took the reins is once again the betting favourite. Martin O’Neill was manager of Aston Villa when the job last became available but that is no longer an obstacle should the Anfield hierarchy be interested in the Northern Irishman again.

Skybet offer odds of 2/1 that O’Neill becomes the next Liverpool manager and it is difficult to see why he wouldn’t should Hodgson move on soon. Kenny Dalglish is second favourite at odds of 6/1 but you would have to think that if he was the man they wanted in the job then they would have appointed him first time round.

Former Chelsea managers Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink can be backed at odds of 7/1 and 8/1 respectively. The odds on the former though are surely based on the possibility that Hodgson turns things around and remains in the job for the foreseeable future.

A lot will depend on how Liverpool fare in games against Everton and Blackburn when the players return from international duty. Defeats in those two games would surely force the hand of the Liverpool board.
