X-Factor Gamu Nhengu Betting
Odds on Gamu Nhengu winning X-Factor 2010 are rapidly either disappearing or lengthening considerably amid reports that the singer could face deportation.
There was uproar on social networking sites Twitter and Facebook when Cheryl Cole omitted the Zimbabwean teenager from her final three on Sunday evening. But when news emerged of the X-Factor twist, which is believed to be that the public will vote in one more singer this weekend, Gamu became the 4/1 third favourite to win the singing contest.
However, reports are emerging today that Gamu’s mother, Nokuthula Ngazana, was refused permission to stay in the UK after her visa expired in August. And Ladbrokes’ odds on Gamu of 8/1 seem almost irrelevant.
Over 200,000 people have joined the Facebook group ‘Gamu Should Have Got Through’ but things look to be going from bad to worse for the youngster. The Home Office has said that Ms Ngazana does not have a right to appeal and the mother and daughter cannot apply separately. Is this the end of the road for Gamu’s X-Factor dream?
