X-Factor Betting Update

Following Saturday’s opening live show of the series we now have four acts vying for favouritism in the X-Factor winner betting market.

Matt Cardle, One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson all gave impressive opening night performances to solidify their positions at the top of the market, but it was Aiden Grimshaw who made the biggest impression to join the trio of acts all available to back at around the 4/1 mark.

Mary Byrne was another who did her chances no harm as the bookies were forced to more than half the odds on her winning from 20/1 to a general 8/1.

The X-Factor twist that had been speculated about turned out to be the addition of one extra act per judge making the number of finalists up to 16. FYD and Nicolo Festa were subsequently both eliminated taking the number of finalists down to 14, one of whom is surprisingly still 150/1 shot Wagner.

Katie Waissel’s chances of winning have tumbled after she was named in the bottom three but gave a stellar performance to prolong her stay for one more week at least. Although Cher Lloyd, Rebecca Fergsuon and Treyc Coehn did enough to keep Cheryl Cole alongside Danni Minogue as favourite in the winning manager betting.
