X-Factor Week Two Elimination Betting

As X-Factor goes into its second week another double elimination looms for the contestants. It is no surprise to see the untalented Wagner as favourite to go, but the fact that he stayed in the competition last week means that he could do so again.

Boyle Sports make the 54-year-old Brazilian the 4/1 favourite to be the next contestant eliminated but I get the sense that there is an element of the public trying to get one up on Simon Cowell in this one. As happened with Rage Against The Machine getting the Christmas number one slot ahead of Joe McEldrey last winter I believe that by keeping Wagner in the public are collectively sticking two fingers up to Cowell and letting him know that he doesn’t have total control over the music industry.

Having said that, Wagner needs to stay out of the bottom three if he is to survive again this week. If it comes down to the judges’ decision between him and any of the other acts in the competition they will not be able to justify keeping him. So, odds of 11/8 on him being one of the two evictees essentially equate to him being one of the bottom three acts.

Other acts that bookmakers are predicting for the chop this week include Katie Waissel (6/4), Belle Aime (9/4), John Adeleye (5/2) and Diva Fever (7/2).
