X Factor Betting Update: Wagner Campaign

The bookmakers have been forced to slash the odds on Wagner being crowned the winner of X Factor 2010 due to a series of Facebook campaigns to get the Brazilian singer to win. In a movement with similar motives to the one which saw Rage Against the Machine take the Christmas number one spot ahead of Joe McElderry last year thousands have signed up to the social network group.

Having been previously available to back at odds as big as 100/1 late last week Coral are now so concerned that the former lion tamer could win the show that they have cut his odds in to just 16/1.

Matt Cardle is now the clear favourite in the betting and is a general 6/4 to be crowned the winner. He is closely followed by boy band One Direction at odds of 5/1 and Rebecca Ferguson at 9/2.

That trio are streets ahead in the betting with Cher Lloyd the next shortest price at 11/1.

As for the next act to be eliminated, despite increasing concerns over the possibility of him winning the show Wagner is second favourite to  go this week at odds of 9/4 with Belle Aime as the 2/1 favourites.
