X Factor Betting Update
X Factor betting is set to spark into life again this weekend as the live shows return to our screens on Saturday with another act sent home on Sunday evening.
Bookmakers have been forced to shorten the odds on Brazilian singer Wagner since last weekend’s show as it emerged that the people behind the Rage Against the Machine campaign have started a similar operation to get the 54-year-old to win. Having previously been available to back at prices from 100/1 upwards he is now as short as 16/1 with Coral.
Matt Cardle has now taken the outright favouritism at odds of 6/4 ahead of One Direction (5/2) and Rebecca Ferguson (9/2).
Money for Irish female singer Mary Byrne appears to be drying up amid rumours that she is unhappy in the X Factor house and concerns about a lack of variety in the style of song she can sing. Cher Lloyd is generally available at 10/1 as she continues to divide opinion.
And finally, according to the bookmakers the next contestant to be eliminated is between three acts. Belle Aime is 15/8 to go, despite the above Wagner is 5/2 and Paije Richardson is 9/2.
