X Factor Betting Update

Matt Cardle is now the clear favourite in the X Factor betting odds as support for One Direction wanes.

Prior to this weekend’s show the bookmakers were finding it difficult to split the two acts at the top of the betting but they are now going just 6/4 on the former painter and decorator being crowned the winner at the end of the month.

One Direction no longer hold second favouritism with many of the bookmakers shortening Rebecca Ferguson after her impressive rendition of Make You Feel My Love, which was originally written by Bob Dylan but has re-entered the charts recently with Adele.

Cher Lloyd’s disappointing performance of Empire State of Mind has resulted in the bookmakers pushing her odds back out to double figures after a brief flirtation with shorter odds following last week’s acclaimed performance of Stay.

Treyc Cohen was the act sent packing this weekend as her and Katie Waissel were left in the bottom two. It was the second week in a row that Waissel had been voted in the bottom two and she is the 11/10 favourite to be eliminated next week. Second favourite to go is Wagner, but that has been the case throughout the series, yet he is still there fighting. Quite literally if some reports are to be beleived.
