Formula One Drivers Championship Betting

The Formula One World Championship title looks set to leave British shores for the first time in two years with Jenson Button already out of the running and Lewis Hamilton requiring an unlikely set of results to regain the title.

Instead it is Fernando Alonso who looks set to claim his third World Championship title, but he won’t get there without a fight against the two Red Bull drivers.

Alonso currently holds an eight point advantage at the top of the drivers’ championship points table with Mark Webber in second and Sebastian Vettel a further seven points back in third and Lewis Hamilton 24 points off the lead in fourth.

Webber is favourite to win the Abu Dhabi race at odds of 7/4 with Blue Square, closely followed by teammate Vettel at 15/8. Alonso is a 4/1 chance and Hamilton is 5/1.

As for the drivers’ championship Alonso has it all in his own hands and as a result is the 10/11 heavy favourite. Webber can win the title if only the Spaniard slips up and so is a 6/4 chance whereas Vettel is 6/1. Hamilton is 40/1 for everything to fall perfectly and land him his second Formula One world title.
