Premier League Darts: Brighton
The Premier League darts arrives in Brighton this Thursday evening to mark the halfway point of the league stages.
Although it has been an entertaining and sometimes unpredictable tournament the top four places in the table are now occupied by four of the top five ranked players in the world. Atop of the pile, unsurprisingly, is Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.
The Power takes on James Wade this week in a repeat of last year’s final in which Taylor hit two nine-darters on his way to winning the title. Wade’s season so far has been sub-standard by his own admission.
Taylor is priced at odds of 1/3 to pick up another two points here while Victor Chandler go 5/1 about a Wade victory and also 5/1 on the draw.
Second placed Gary Anderson faces Raymond van Barneveld in what promises to be another intriguing match. Barney is the 15/8 outsider with Anderson at 4/5 and the draw 4/1.
World champion Adrian Lewis is 4/9 to beat Terry Jenkins. The Bull is 10/3 for the win and the draw is 9/2.
And in the night’s other match Simon Whitlock is 5/6 to beat Mark Webster who is 15/8 with the draw at 4/1.
