Former Honda team saved

The former Honda Racing Formula One team has been saved and will return as Brawn GP, it has been revealed.Fears over the future of the outfit - as well as British driver Jenson Button - had been raised after Honda announced that the global economic downturn was forcing it to pull out of the sport. But a management buyout was agreed between team principal Ross Brawn and the Japanese manufacturer, ensuring the places reserved on the grid will be filled."The past few months have been extremely challenging for the team but the announcement is a very pleasing conclusion to the strenuous efforts that have been made to secure its future," said Brawn.Former driver David Coulthard recently suggested to Reuters that Button was facing a potential early end to his career should he be unable to compete this season, but those fears have been alleviated. He will once again be joined by Brazilian Rubens Barrichello, with the first race taking place in Australia on Sunday March 29th.
