Anichebe out for season
Everton boss David Moyes has confirmed that the club will be without Victor Anichebe for the rest of the season. The striker suffered a knee injury during a Premier League visit to Newcastle United last month. And with a scan this week proving inconclusive, he now needs exploratory surgery to assess the extent of the problem - ruling him out for the rest of the Toffees' campaign."He's damaged his cartilage and is out for the season. It's a blow for the boy as he'd just got back into the team and it's another player we have lost," said Moyes, referring to the season-long absences of Yakubu and Mikel Arteta.Everton are currently in sixth place in the league table, four points adrift of Arsenal. They host struggling Middlesbrough in an FA Cup quarter-final tie on Sunday as 8/11 favourites in the online sports betting market, with the visitors given odds of 4/1.
