Victory sees Button's odds come in
Jenson Button remains the strong favourite for the Formula One Drivers' Championship, having extended his lead with victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Briton started in fourth place on the grid, behind Sebastian Vettel - who had won in China a week earlier. But Button was able to pass him early in the race and defend against fellow Brit Lewis Hamilton, who continued to show significant improvement as he ultimately finished fourth in his McLaren.Button is now 12 points clear of his Brawn GP team-mate Rubens Barrichello at the top of the championship and is priced at evens by William Hill to take the title. However, he noted that changes are due to be made to many cars before they make the trip to Barcelona in two weeks."We've been able to pick up the points, which is great," said the 29-year-old, but added: "When we get to Europe we don't know where anyone is going to be."Button's victory was his third of the season, the driver having won just once in his previous nine years in the sport.
