Saints on course for successful Challenge Cup defence
St Helens are odds-on favourites to win the Challenge Cup after knocking Super League champions Leeds Rhinos out in the fourth round.Having taken the title for the last three years, Saints faced an early trip to their rivals. And they came away with a 22-18 victory, thanks largely to the efforts of Jon Wilkin - playing out of position at stand-off.His pair of 40-20 kicks proved crucial and helped the visitors establish a 20-6 lead, with the Rhinos mounting a late comeback but ultimately running out of time.Stan James has St Helens as 4/5 favourites for the tournament, with Wigan Warriors priced 8/1 after their 32-20 win over Barrow.Commenting on Wilkin's performance, Saints boss Mick Potter said: "Jon is a very good player and I think you can put him in any position from one to 13 and he will do a good job for you."
