Salford's White ruled out for season
Salford City Reds have confirmed that Paul White is to be out of action for the remainder of the season. The winger made his Super League debut for the club on Sunday, having missed the start of the campaign through injury. But, White, the Reds' top try-scorer last year, was forced off the field during the 48-12 defeat at Hull KR - having earlier touched down for the game's first try.Coach Shaun McRae revealed that the 26-year-old had aggravated the knee injury he picked up in pre-season, stating: "It looks like he will need a full knee reconstruction, so we've seen the last of Paul for 2009."The loss marked Salford's sixth in succession and youngster Eddie Vaughn is expected to take White's place in the side as they bid to avoid the wooden spoon.McRae's men are currently second from bottom, ahead of fellow Super League newcomers Celtic Crusaders, with both sides rated at evens to finish last by Skybet.
