Rugby League Betting Odds - Cunningham To Play Grand Final
St Helens could be set to receive a boost in their Super League Grand Final match-up with Leeds Rhinos this weekend as captain Keiron Cunningham is available to play despite an injury. Nursing a hairline fracture in his hand, the hooker featured in the Saints' semi-final 14-10 defeat of Wigan Warriors after receiving pain-killing injections.
A similar set-up is expected for Saturday (October 10th), with St Helens coach Mick Potter confirming Cunningham's presence in the team.
"Keiron is having a scan today but he'll play regardless of what the scan says," he remarked, adding: "He'll be offered medical advice - and whether he takes it up or not, that's Keiron."
Saints centre Matt Gidley and prop Tony Puletua are also expected to return from groin trouble and shoulder damage respectively.
Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports ») favours Leeds Rhinos in the Super League Grand Final, offering odds of 1/2 that they will be the victors.
St Helens are available at 11/8 with Stan James(Go to Stan James »).
