Formula One Betting News - Coulthard Claims Button Could Lose
British former Formula One racing driver David Coulthard has expressed his concern that fellow countryman Jenson Button may still lose the 2009 World Championship. Coulthard admitted that while it would be "terrible to imagine" the Brawn driver throwing it away, there is still a possibility that it could happen.
The 29-year-old Button has a 14-point lead over closest rival Brawn GP team-mate Rubens Barrichello and only requires six points from the remaining two grand prix races to win this year's title.
This weekend sees the penultimate contest, the Brazil Grand Prix, with Coulthard favouring home-grown driver Barrichello.
He remarked: "In Brazil, I'll put my money on Rubens. It's his home track I'd be amazed if he doesn't ace it there."
However, the 38-year-old said that Button is still the likely victor, adding that "you have to imagine Jenson will hold on".
Those looking to put money on Sunday's (October 18th) race will find Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel as the favourite, with Totesport(Go to Totesport ») offering odds of 2/1 on him winning.
Stan James(Go to Stan James ») has Button at 11/1.
