Formula One Betting - Button Claims Brawn Aren't "one-hit Wonders"
Jenson Button has claimed that Brawn GP will contest for the title next year with him at the helm. The former Honda driver secured the 2010 Formula One World Championship on Sunday (October 19th) after placing fifth in the Brazilian Grand Prix at Sao Paulo.
According to the 29-year-old, he wishes to sign with Brawn for next season to try and demonstrate that the team "are not one-hit wonders".
"I want to be here next year and I want to be with a team that can challenge for victories like this season," he remarked. "Brawn can do that."
Despite his intentions, the new world champion said he has not yet spoken to his team about next year and will wait before the furore of this victory dies down.
Coral(Go to Coral ») currently has Button at 12/1 to repeat this year's feat of coming first, while Skybet(Go to Skybet ») considers Lewis Hamilton as the favourite, offering odds of 5/2 on the young Brit securing the title.
