Rugby League Betting - Hat-trick Hero Tomkins To Alter Odds?
Wigan half-back Sam Tomkins is set to play for England against Australia in the Gillette Four Nations on Saturday (October 31st) after scoring a hat-trick of tries in a game against Wales earlier this month. The 20-year-old did not appear in the squad's opening match-up with France last week, which his compatriots won 34-12, but is now being played due to Richie Myler receiving an injury.
England coach Tony Smith confirmed the damage to Myler, saying: "Richie has still got a bit of a head knock but Sam was going to get a chance this week."
According to Smith, this will enable selectors to judge the two and see how they compare to decide who will be chosen for the final contests.
The Kangaroos are the favourites to come away with a victory at the DW Stadium in Wigan this weekend and Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports ») is offerings odds of 1/10 on an away win.
Those looking to bet on England can find them at 9/2 with William Hill(Go to William Hill »).
