Rugby League Betting - Catalans Dragons Odds Better With New Signing?
Catalans Dragons may see their odds of lifting the Super League trophy at the end of the season boosted by the addition of Chris Walker to their squad. The Australian winger has signed a two-year contract with the club, which Betfred(Go to Betfred ») is currently offering at 22/1 to top the table at the end of the campaign.
Dragons' sporting director Sebastien Munoz said the arrangement is "good news" for the rest of the side.
"A new player coming in will provide great competition at the back and that can only be positive for the team," he remarked, adding that the fans are likely to warm to him quickly.
Munoz noted that Walker, who has joined from Gold Coast Titans, will improve pace on the back line, something he feels the side has lacked in the past.
Despite the 29-year-olds addition the squad, Leeds remain the favourites to top the Super League this year, with 888Sport(Go to 888sport ») offering odds of 6/5 on this eventuality.
