Hamilton Positive Over Championship Chances
Lewis Hamilton is confident that his McLaren team can match the pace of Ferrari over the Formula One season.Hamilton finished third in the opening race of the season, as Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa completed a one-two for Ferrari.
Although it was not a perfect start, it was enough to keep the Englishman happy, who has been priced at 11/2 with Betfred(Go to Betfred ») to win the title.
"The car is great in the high speed but not so good in the low and medium-speed corners at the rear, so we really need to pick up some down force there," he added.
The current favourite to lift the world championship is Fernando Alonso, who is available at odds of 11/10 with Bet365(Go to Bet365 »).
However, he is not taking anything for granted, stating that any of the drivers in the top four teams - Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull and Mercedes - have a realistic chance of taking the crown.
