Ancelotti: We Need To Beat Portsmouth

Chelsea have to win their midweek encounter against bottom-club Portsmouth if they want to stay in the Premier League title race, according to their manager.

After being knocked out of the Champions League by Inter Milan, the Blues laboured to a 1-1 draw against Blackburn yesterday - a result that leaves them four points behind current leaders Manchester United with a game in hand.

Carlo Ancelotti's men are 1/4 with Blue Square(Go to Blue Square ») to be triumphant on Wednesday (March 24th), while their talisman Didier Drogba is 3/1 with Victor Chandler(Go to VCBet ») to score the first goal.

"I don't know how many points we need to win the title. We need to win on Wednesday. We have to win, that's the only solution to go forward," he added.

But as Chelsea still have to play United in the run-in, Ancelotti will be aware that their destiny is still in their own hands, as emerging victorious in their remaining games would see them become champions.
