David Strettle Is Joining Saracens
David Strettle will move to Saracens from Harlequins for the start of the Premiership next season. The 26-year-old becomes the latest player to sign for the club, following in the footsteps of Matt Stevens, Kelly Brown and Richard Wigglesworth.
Brendan Venter, Sarries director of rugby, noted that Strettle fills the one place they had remaining, a top-class winger.
"He's exactly the kind of character who will thrive in our environment," he said. "We are confident he will become a key player for Saracens and England."
After their great start to the season, Saracens have hit a bad patch and will be looking to get back to winning ways against Newcastle Falcons this weekend.
They are 1/50 with Betfair(Go to Betfair ») to win the game and 10/1 with Betfred(Go to Betfred ») to be crowned champions at the end of the year.
When he was asked about his views on joining the side, Strettle stated that it is clear that something big is happening at the team and he was excited to be a part of it.
