Lewis Hamilton Admits 'he Is Chasing The Leaders'

Lewis Hamilton has admitted that Red Bull and Ferrari have more pace at the minute.

The Englishman added that if results had transpired in a different manner, Sebastian Vettel could have a healthy lead at the top of the World Championship.

"Anything can happen as we go forward and we cannot afford too many DNFs," the former champion said. "Each team is trying to remain as consistent as possible right now."

The new scoring system, which sees 25 points given for winning a race, means that creating and making up gaps could be easier.

Michael Schumacher told BBC sport that it would be foolish to write the season off already, as he thinks that everyone will have a retirement in the campaign, so there is no reason to be too disappointed at this stage.
