Mark Selby Wary Of Doherty
Mark Selby is aware that Ken Doherty will not "freeze" during their first round encounter. He is 5/18 with Expekt(Go to Expekt ») to win the contest, while Doherty is available at 5/2 with Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports »).
But the 26-year-old knows the qualities that he will be coming up against in the shape of the former champion.
"I will need to be on my toes from the word 'go' but that's probably good for me," Selby added.
The Jester from Leicester has been disappointed with his form this year, despite the fact that he thinks he has been playing "really well".
He has exited a number of tournaments early, but did lift the Masters title, his second in three years.
Selby observed that even though he feels like he is cueing good, "a bit of bad luck here and there" and any player can find himself in a bit of trouble as there are only six ranking tournaments.
