Jenson Button Wants More Pace From His Car

Formula One championship leader Jenson Button hopes that his McLaren car can start to challenge the Red Bull's in qualifying.

Although he has won the last two races, Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber have been on pole position for every outing so far.

Button is 6/1 with Totesport(Go to Totesport ») to retain his title, while Vettel is still the bookmakers favourite, with Skybet(Go to Skybet ») offering 2/1.

The 30-year-old said: "There's still a lot of work to do to find some pace but that's what we're working on, we're working very hard and it's great to get these results."

According to Button, the points already amassed are vital, but he wants to see an improvement on his starting positions for races.

McLaren are currently leading the Constructors Championship and they are 15/8 with Stan James(Go to Stan James ») to hold onto that lead for the rest of the season, while Ferrari and Red Bull are second and third respectively.
