Ferrari Confident Ahead Of Spanish Grand Prix

The Ferrari team are confident that they have put their engine problems behind them as it heads to the Spanish grand prix.

Fernando Alonso is the 7/2 second favourite to take the chequered flag in Barcelona with Bet365(Go to Bet365 »), while his teammate Felipe Massa is 10/1 with Ladbrokes(Go to Ladbrokes »).

The outfit noted that a lot of work has been carried out in testing ahead of the European leg of the season, which will hopefully solve the reliability issues that existed in Bahrain and Malaysia.

According to its official website: "The team ... received authorisation from the FIA to make some changes ... and these modifications will be fitted to the engines to be used in Spain."

The two cars are in third and sixth place respectively in the standings and the Italian manufacturer will be hoping that the new updates will allow them to make a charge for the leadership, which is currently held by reigning champion Jenson Button.
