Phil Taylor 'on Course For Premier League Darts Title'

Phil 'The Power' Taylor was happy with his display after he maintained his unbeaten record in the Premier League tournament.

After 13 matches, The Power has 11 victories and two draws to his name, a set of results that puts him top of the standings, Sky Sports News reports.

His next match is against Adrian Lewis, with Taylor 2/7 with Boyle Sports(Go to Boyle Sports ») to emerge on top from the tussle with his former protege.

The man from Stoke is also 7/25 to win the event with Betfair(Go to Betfair »), while Simon Whitlock is the 5/1 second favourite with Betfred(Go to Betfred »).

After beating Terry Jenkins he said: "It was a difficult game tonight because I'd qualified and Terry couldn't, so it was a bit of a non-match really."

He stated that he had been practicing with Lewis earlier in the day and he was "playing superb", so he understands that his next tie will be difficult.
