Rooney ready to return against Fulham
Wayne Rooney will start on the bench tonight as Manchester United look to tighten their grip on the title race at home to Fulham. The England striker has been missing with a hamstring injury sustained during the 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic on January 14th. However, Sir Alex Ferguson said Rooney will be included among the substitutes at Old Trafford tonight, adding that the hitman is "back to his best". United also welcome Nemanja Vidic, Carlos Tevez, Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Carrick back to the squad after they were rested for Sunday's 4-1 FA Cup demolition of Derby County. Fulham have worries over striker Andy Johnson and full-back Paul Konchesky. The pair will have late fitness tests ahead of kick-off, but midfielder Dickson Etuhu misses out with a knee injury. The Red Devils are firm favourites in the football betting to win tonight's game, having won ten of the 14 meetings between the two sides in the Premier League. Fulham have one win and there have been three draws, according to the BBC.
