Benitez remains confident over title prospects
Rafael Benitez has told BBC Sport that he still believes Liverpool stand a good chance of winning the Premier League title this year despite losing ground to leaders Manchester United over the weekend.Liverpool could only manage a 1-1 draw against Manchester City on Sunday, leaving them seven points behind their north-west rivals with 12 games to go in the season. However, Benitez believes his side are still in with a shout of overcoming the deficit."I have confidence that we can still win it, but we must win our next two league games against Middlesbrough and Sunderland and then win against Manchester United at Old Trafford," he remarked. In the football betting, Liverpool are now 10/1 or longer to win the Premier League at numerous bookmakers, while United are priced at around 1/14.The two teams will clash at Old Trafford on March 14th, with United able to go ten points clear if they win the game.
